Reps. Emerson and Delauro urge fellow Members of Congress to support H.R. 4645

Congresswomen Rosa Delauro (D-CT) and JoAnn Emerson (R-MO) wrote a letter this week to their fellow members of congress urging them to support H.R. 4645, the Travel Restriction Reform and Export Enhancement Act.  H.R. 4645 would allow travel by Americans to Cuba and open opportunities for increased trade of agricultural goods to the isalnd.

In their letter, Delauro and Emerson wrote:
"H.R. 4645 would not overturn the Cuban embargo.  It would not aid the Castro regime.  It would not allow credit to Cuba or Cuban banks.  It is a moderate approach to reconsidering a failed policy in an effort to take a step toward a better solution, which is why we are proud to support it in a bipartisan way."
