Join Cuban hunger striker Guillermo Fariñas in his call to end the U.S. Travel Ban on Cuba

July 22, 2010

Three members of the U.S. congress have written and circulated a letter to their colleagues encouraging them to cosponsor legislation to lift the travel ban to Cuba, following the lead of Cuban hunger striker Guillermo Fariñas who has also called for an end to the U.S. travel ban.

Reps. McGovern, Emerson and DeLauro wrote: "For decades, U.S. policy toward Cuba has put political prisoners at the center of our demands for change by Cuba's government.  When the very people in whose name we've made U.S. policy call for changes in that policy, shouldn't we listen and respond accordingly?"
